Due to unforeseen circumstances, I will most likely be getting out of horses. That being said, Black Hawk Cruise is 5 years old/15.2 and has had a fantastic, SLOW start. For those with a background in French Classical Dressage this is the horse for you! He’s had basics of Liberty work, target training, and free lunges on a circle with vocal cues. Undersaddle he can w/t/c, but is still finding his balance at the canter. Lateral work will be no issue and he can work in hand like a dream. He has a very strong base in Philippe Karl’s methods and moves well off of weight. He can go around with just a finger on the rein (no thumb necessary! This guy is LIGHT), and was told in a clinic with Pippa Callanan that he has a near perfect neck extension! He is VERY sensitive, so a confident, soft rider is a must. Too much is too muchh for this guy, the lighter the ask the better the results. Can transition in different neck positions just with you thinking it He’s gained a lot of confidence over the last couple years and continues to get better with age. Wonderful for the vet/farrier/dentist This is a horse that would THRIVE in a home with an experienced rider, he loves liberty work and would be great in western dressage. Best situation is priority this guy because this wouldn’t even be a thought if I could prevent it. This is NOT the horse for someone to flip, nor will he be given to a “quick sale.” A good home is a must.
