2026 is the year of the horse, so it's only fitting you enter the new year with a new horse (or pony...)! Aria 51 JB - 14.1, 2011, grey pinto, QH/Arabian, pony mare. This mare has the hops! Scope, floaty trot, comfy canter, impeccable ground manners, basically unflappable and incredibly brave, Aria is a perfect option for a petite adult ammy, a gutsy teen, or a trainer looking to have some fun in the pony jumpers! While she's better sized for a shorter rider, the mare takes up your leg very well (one of my riders is 5'7", and she doesn't look too large on her). She's brave enough for the cross country field but soft enough for a leisurely trail ride. (No joke...I ride her in pasture to check my fence lines)! Yes, she is very game and ready to jump under saddle, but you can leave this pony in the crossties for hours for kids to play with/groom/braid her tail/paint a skeleton on/all the things in summer camps, and she is EXCELLENT in lead line lessons. We even dressed her up as a unicorn for a Trunk or Treat parade, and motorcycles, tractors, golf carts, and spooky kids in full costume (SCREAM masks and all) didn't phase her one bit! If you're looking for your kid's first ever pony, Aria isn't the type. If you've been riding awhile and want to play Lightning McQueen in the jumper ring, this is your gal. Don't expect Aria to be your pina coladas and walks in the rain kind of lady; she isn't a fan of long, drawn-out flatwork rides. Give this girl something to think about and entertain her (pole work, spooky jumps, fun turns, mounted games, etc.), and she doesn't miss a beat! Currently jumping full 2'-2"3 jumper courses at home. She will gladly jump up to 2'9", but we aren't coursing her at that height until she has a full lead change. She's still 50/50 on full changes, but finishing those won't take too much more work. Sadly, no show history or record. She was supposed to show in November and early December, but the EHV outbreak squashed those plans 🙁 No maintenance, stays fat on air, stays totally sound barefoot, and flats around in a simple, rubber mullen mouth (2-ring mullen mouth elevator o/f). Trailers great. Body clips. No vices. Does all the good things. Available to try at JUMP BIGGS. Sorry, no trials, but you can come test ride her as many times as you'd like! Additional photos and videos available upon request. Open to offers if gone before the new year! *Seriously, I never thought I'd be a pony mare person, especially one with some Arabian in her, but I love this pony! If I had more riders interested in pony jumpers, I'd keep her. Alas, it's time she moves on to her next treat providers, supplier of butt scratches, and purveyor of all the creature comforts a good girl pony desires.*
