Adult ammy friendly, or even for a horse-savvy teen. Kate is not a beginner’s horse. I repeat NOT A BEGINNER’S HORSE. Kate is an absolute dreamboat to ride, she is soft in the face, responds to seat aids, she can be forward and have power when asked. Kate has her lead change, she will go in a loose rein or will frame up. She will try her heart out for her person. Kate is truly the reason there are “mare people”.
Kate enjoys having a job and particularly likes dressage work. She has also been lightly jumped, done small courses and enjoys polework/cavaletti.
Kate’s owner is focusing on different goals right now so Kate has been put into a program and is currently building her fitness, therefore her canter transitions don’t always “flow” the first time. With some more fitness and consistency her canter transitions will shine. She is eager to work, wants to please - can even be a bit of an overachiever.
Kate loads and trailers without any issues. She has been to a few local shows and handled the show environment well.
Kate stands in crossties, loves face scratchies, she will melt her sweet head right into you. Kate is currently happy barefoot and stands well for the farrier, vet, massage, chiropractor, dentist, and to be body clipped. She is currently in group turn out with other mares and is easy to catch in the field.
