12 year old Clyde/Percheron cross stud. We have had Thor for 4 years and he has produced great draft cross colts for us each year. The colts are gentle, learn quickly and have good confirmation. He has been crossed with quarter horse mares. For those 4 years, Thor has pasture bred many mares. We turn him out with the mares with foals on their sides and keep him with them during the summer. He has never hurt a mare or a foal. He has even been caught playing with some of the foals. He is respectful to all of the mares and is never pushy even after they are covered. In the summer, Thor has been kept in an electric fenced pasture and he respects the fence. In the winter, we put him in a different pasture with our other 2 studs and they get along great. He is never mean and doesn't try to hurt any other horse. Thor was never broke to ride. He was halter broke and turned out with mares when he was young. He is really respectful of the rope and allows you to be close to him, but if he doesn't trust you he is skeptical of you touching him. With some grain, he comes around and once he knows you will let you catch him whenever you want to. We are selling him because we do not have room for 3 studs and would like to rotate studs every so many years. I have pictures of his babies as well. Only one of his foals is old enough to be used in the mountains for our business and we started putting guests on her at 5 years old. She is calm, gentle and kind. But, she is also tough and can out walk any other horse we have. The perfect combination for a trail horse in our business. Price is OBO.
