Basquait (BonBon) is a 11 year old Hanoverian, chestnut with a blaze and four adorable stockings. I purchased him in 2021 to keep me in the saddle after a decade of intensive competition. I purchased him in California and have since relocated to North Carolina, just three hours from Tryon. He is extremely loving, friendly, curious, and intelligent. I wish I could say a bad thing about him, but his lovely and calm demeanor was the deciding factor in my purchase. He is not at all spooky and is perfect for an advanced child looking to move into the junior hunters, or an amateur looking to compete in the adults; in other words, he is the guy who will bring you from the 2'6" into the 3'3" - even if that is just for growing a rider's confidence at home. He has competed in the past, although his show record is not extensive. He requires 0 show prep in my experience with him - perhaps just some training rides before hand. His lead changes can be a weak point, but he has those skills in there. I have spent the last year making sure he is medically and physically at the top of his game, which will jut require regular medical check ups and professional rides to maintain his strength.
