Valentina is a stunning 13-year-old (born on Valentine’s Day!) 15.3h grade Azteca mare with a kind heart, big stride, and a resume that truly sets her apart. She is an exceptionally versatile ranch horse, confidently handling group or solo trail rides, overnight camping with string-line tie-ups, ranch roping (not team roping), and cowboy mounted shooting. While she is not gaited, her walk and trot are smooth, forward, and extremely comfortable to ride. She is not marish, travels well with other horses, and has no vices—no kick, bite, or rear. Valentina is well-schooled on the flat with soft, balanced transitions at the walk, trot, and lope. On the trail, she is seasoned and reliable, having participated in overnight group rides where she ties patiently on a picket line. She is accustomed to wildlife sightings such as buffalo, deer, peacocks, and pheasants, and takes everything in stride. She enjoys being out front and leading but rides beautifully alone as well—no spooking, refusal, or hesitation, making her a confidence-building partner. She is familiar with ranch roping and will pull cattle or objects as needed, and she is absolutely solid in cowboy mounted shooting, whether standing quietly or galloping through a course. On the ground, Valentina is a total sweetheart with a puppy-dog personality and excellent manners. She is easy for the vet and farrier, loads without issue, and has even been transported multiple times by barge from the busy Port of Los Angeles Harbor to Catalina Island—unfazed by noise, crowds, or commotion. Valentina is best suited for a novice to intermediate rider with soft hands. She is not recommended for a true beginner, as she has a naturally forward walk and plenty of go. She has an impressive gas tank and a big step (does not jig), so a rider comfortable managing tempo will appreciate her athleticism. Her owner adores this mare but is focusing on riding younger horses. Price is flexible, but the right home is the priority and will be carefully selected. Ideal Buyer Profile? • Adult amateur • Ranch rider / trail rider • Mounted shooter • Weekend rider • Someone who wants a finished and sane horse with a kind mind PPE welcome at buyer’s expense.
