Rehoming request This is a heartfelt and difficult decision, made only because I want what is truly best for her long-term comfort and happiness. Honey is a special mare who has taught me so much — especially patience, trust, and perseverance — and she deserves a soft landing with someone who will treasure her as much as I do. Honey is a beautiful 14-year-old palomino mare with a kind eye, expressive face, and a golden glow that truly lives up to her name. She stands at about 15.2 with a downhill confirmation. Registered as Kids Honeymoon, she has been my cherished partner for the past three years and has played a huge role in my journey as a later-in-life rider. Honey has been a pleasant trail companion and has enjoyed time in the arena, working willingly in a nice frame when she was feeling her best. She is very much a mare who appreciates respect and consistency; once trust is built, she offers a deep and rewarding connection. She is happiest with someone who understands horses and values quiet partnership over expectations. Due to a recent front-left LCL strain, along with existing arthritis that is currently managed with Equioxx, Honey is being offered as a retirement or companion- or down the road a light duty riding horse for trail work and light arena work. She is not for someone who wants a performance mount but responds well to being worked almost every day (which actually helps keep her joints more healthy.) She is currently in front shoes with pads and will need a thoughtful, supportive home that can provide ongoing care, patience, and understanding as she enjoys a slower pace of life. Please reach out for more information. An experienced, caring home is essential, and finding the right fit matters more than anything - only serious inquiries please. please contact me by DM - happy to provide you with more information. she is currently residing in Woodacre California.
