Secret is a very well bred 9 year old, 15.1 hand registered Appy gelding. If you are looking for an extremely quiet gelding, that is utterly unflappable to ride on busy urban streets or out on the trail, you might want to consider this gelding. Secret is as quiet as they come. I have literally never found anything that he reacts to or is worried about. Secret is a get along kind of gelding in the pasture and is equally good in a pen alone or in a box stall. He is extremely quiet minded and easy for anyone to catch, tie, tack up and mount. He would be my first pick to put a beginner rider on to head out around our busy neighborhood streets or takeout on a leisurely trail ride. Secret will walk out peacefully in any position of any size of a group of horses and will be equally quiet out alone. He crosses the creeks, the river, deadfall, trail bridge, tarps, etc with confidence and navigates our steep and rocky terrain very well. Secrets best use is a trail horse as he was previously used in a beginner English riding lesson and beginner English jumping lesson program where he got soured in the ring. He will have a beautiful, easy to sit slow jog and an equally smooth rocking chair kind of lope but he has way more whoa than go and it takes a lot to get him into the lope. He has a terrific stop and side passes to open and close the gates, but in the arena it takes a lot of leg as he has become extremely lazy to keep him going. Other than that Secret has many good qualities and is basically bombproof and reliable for any level of rider out and about. Stands tied quietly for grooming, tacking and mounting. He’s good for the farrier and bathing. Loads and hauls great as well. This one is the horse for someone who just wants to have a slow peaceful and drama free ride preferably at the walk and trot.
