Heavy set solid, Buckskin quarter horse gelding, 14.3H coming 13 years old. "Rock" has been an outstanding trail horse for us. He has towed several youngsters and unbroken horses on their first outing and camping trips. When riding he is not spooked or worried about anything on the trail or road. He will cross bridges, water. Traffic safe. We have encountered large equipment and motorcycles without an issue. All while having a young horse on a lead rope bouncing off him as we pony it along.He loads and trailers well. Stands tied to trailer and at new camp sites. He can ride in an arena fine, just not what we did a lot of. He gets along with most horses. Pastured with mares, geldings, weanlings and newborns foals. Best nanny for little ones. Easy keeper. Gets fat when not working. I would like to see him with a person or with a family. Does best when he know his people. I would rather not see him as a lesson horse earning his keep. Herd liquidation due to health. He is one of the last two we are parting with. Looking for a good home.
