Sweet tea is a 14 year old grade mare, standing at only 14.2 she is a big girl! She has a wonderful collected trot and loves going on trail rides. She has placed in ranch classes and is surefooted in any terrain. She loves going up and down steep hills, and often will take you on the toughest route willingly. She enjoys spending time going slow and is more of a walk- trot horse but will pick up a lope easily. She has carried toddlers and adults, first time riders and experienced. She is like a tank with legs! She can ride in a bit, hackamore or her fav, a halter. She has been ridden in a saddle and bareback pad but loves going completely bareback. Sweet Tea has been ridden english, western, and pleasure. She can work how often or little you ask her too. She is good with other horses and is up to date on all shots and has her coggins. Although she does have arthritis in her back legs, she takes a supplement 1-2 times a day and probiotic treats that keeps it from flaring or affecting her at all. She picks up all feet, stands for baths, farrier, vet, grooming and has no buck bite or rear. She is a little chunky but only because she hasn't been working a lot recently. She will let you stand, flip, jump, hang, sit under without a single care. She doesn't love barrels but she knows the pattern and is a good playday horse for people just looking for a kid safe horse or something to learn on. She will “jump” if you ask her and you can point and she will follow. She stops when she hears woah, or slow. My daughter is at a place where she wants a more advanced horse for barrel racing and while we love Tea, can’t afford two horses. Please reach out if interested and we can negotiate.
