We are looking for a retirement home for our beautiful older mare. She is a sweet 17 year old registered Thoroughbred. Unfortunately she has been intermittently lame since we bought her 4 years ago. With more regular maintenance she could possibly be sound for light riding/trail riding. She’s super sweet and mellow, but doesn’t like to leave her horse buddies and isn’t a fan of rowdy kids. She would love to just hang out and be a companion horse or pasture ornament. I wish I could let Skylark grow old and retire here but there’s only so many mouths we can feed and we have 2 retired horses here already. There will be a small rehoming fee to make sure she goes to a good home.
