Someone is going to get a great deal on a beautiful, well trained 7 year old imported Friesian! 16.3 hands. Imported from the Netherlands where he was trained in dressage (showed) and driving, and then transitioned to western riding for an adult amateur rider in Montana. I have all the original sale videos and photos. He has a long mane and tail, stunning presence, and beautiful movement. Been in consistent training for more than 2 years. Boarded easily with many other horses, no bad habits. Trained to electric fence. Jitske has extensive exposure and desensitization and has proven himself in varied environments: English and Western Dressage and Driving trained (Netherlands) Mountain trail rides (off-property), traverses all terrain (Montana) Ridden out alone and in groups, has ponied young horses on trail Mounted shooting clinic exposure, Cow sorting exposure Started lightly over fences, started lightly with liberty work Comfortable around kids, motorcycles, dogs, wildlife, heavy equipment - you name it, he's been exposed. He’s currently doing 30 days of Buck Brannaman style training while the owner is recovering from hip surgery. Jitske is kind, forgiving, and will keep any rider safe as long as they can ride with confidence. Best for intermediate rider. Excellent ground manners. Polite, respects space, sensitive to light cues. He’s very people-oriented and engaged. Stands still for farrier, loads into slant load step up trailer or straight load with a ramp, will pick you up at the mounting block, stands still to mount, stands for grooming, lowers head for bridle, etc. He has good lead changes. Benign keratoma front hoof present for years. Never been lame or had any effect. Happy to arrange a PPE and help arrange transport (buyer's expense). He can truly go in any direction with his strong foundation. Very hard decision to sell. Asking $55k (Imported him for $50k). I have about $4k worth of tack that is negotiable.
