Onyx is a 14hh 10 year old grade jet black POA mare that has been rode by intermediate riders.
She is a deluxe step-up kids horse for that confident - wants to go and is ready to go, but needs something safe - kid. This mare would be ideal for a novice kid that needs a step up horse but knows all the basics and has a decent seat.
She has been across water, bridges, isn't afraid of bicycles, motorcycles, side-by-sides, go carts, or motorized vehicles, has been desensitized thoroughly, and moves out wonderfully.
Onyx stands tied, is good for the farrier, has worn shoes but is barefoot at the moment, loads easily in and out of the trailer, easy to catch, saddle and bridle. Doesn't mind being cinched up tight all around, wearing a crupper and is easy to blanket when needed. She has been my go to riding horse and isn't afraid to drag colts that are bigger than her as well as work them off of her in and outside of the round pen.
This mare would make a phenomenal gaming or 4-H horse. She is a fast learner and loves to go out and see new stuff.
She can be a little buddy sour but that is her only flaw. We have been working on it and she has gotten a lot better.
