Gunner is a just turned 4-year-old Thoroughbred gelding who combines natural expression with a correct and thoughtful restart. Currently schooling at the walk, trot, and canter, he is developing balance, rhythm, and soft contact, with introductions to lateral work and transitions within the gait. He has started lightly over small jumps. He shows a naturally expressive trot and a comfortable, rhythmic canter, and is beginning to build the strength and topline needed for continued development on the flat. He stands around 16.3 hands with an uphill build and elegant presence and has a lovely in-hand demeanor. Most notably, Gunner offers a high level of rideability for his age—he is more “whoa” than “go,” a pleasant and uncomplicated ride, and continues to improve with each ride. With his trainable mindset and correct foundation, he is well-suited for a dressage- focused program, cross country or the hunter ring. He would be well suited for an adult amateur working with a trainer to bring along a quality young horse. Low five figures. More pictures and videos upon request. Negotiable to the right home.
