Sally is a 3 year old 15.0 hands Registered Tennessee Walker Blue Roan Mare coming 4 years old on May 26, 2026. Purchased from Triple D Stables in Cynthiana, Kentucky as a 2 year old. Sally was trained and broke to ride in natural horsemanship. Sally has tons of trail riding experience mostly riding with other gaited horses. As a 2.5 year old Sally came to Apache Junction, Arizona where she was lightly rode taking her out of a green broke mode to transition to a now full broke awesome trail horse that can accomplish anything you put in front of her. Sally is a good looking horse with a wonderful demeaner. She is never mean, competitive but never out of control. She is extremely athletic, can ride in the back, middle or front with other trail riders and doesn’t fuss about it. This is Sally’s 2nd year in Apache Junction, AZ. As we are here for 5 months of the year, returning to our full time residence in Janesville, WI. Sally has been rode in 5 states. Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Arizona and Illinois. She has rode many trails in all 4 states. I will list as many as I can remember. Governor Dodge State Park WI, Wild Cat State Park WI, Southern Kettle Morane State Park WI, Kickapoo Reserve, WI, Gibb Lake County Park WI, Forestville State Park, MN, Rock Cut State Park, IL, Ussery County Park, AZ, Picket Post Wilderness Area, AZ, Goldfield Mountains, AZ, Superstition Mountain Range, AZ, Salt river Recreation Area, AZ, and other many other areas. I know this is someone’s lifetime horse as she has a personality that is just absolutely addictive. This is probably the most broke 3.7 year old Tennessee Walking trail horse in the USA and I’m not exaggerating. I am only selling her because her top end speed on her gait is not what I need as I compete in endurance. I need to travel consistently at 8 mph to 10 mph mile after mile. She does, however, possess a nice soft gait from between 4 to 7 mph. She will neck rein or single hand rain. Sally backs up well, bends at the pole very good. Sally is tough, wears like iron. I have order her in the steep and deep and she still does not wear out. She gaits quite well on the flats at the speed I have indicated and then goes directly into the steep mountains here in Apache Junction mountain range. Super steep stuff? She tip toes down the mountain in heavy rock with no problems or hesitation. She works fine off of leg pressure and will respond to verbal commands as well. She loads very well, but so far will not back off the trailer but she turns nicely to get out and safe doing it. She is very good at opening cattle gates from the saddle on trail rides. She is flag broke as well (please see video) Sally is not a slow learner either, she is a very intelligent horse. To summarize: You won’t find a young gaited horse this trail broke that is safe, kind, talented, energetic, smart, willing and affectional than Sally, you just won’t.
