Come on down and meet Archie-the most people loving horse I’ve known. This 18-year-old ex-racehorse OTTB (Off The Track Thoroughbred) would be an ideal horse for a kid or kiddos who love a bit of speed! Would do best in a home where he can consistently be worked. His slight bit of arthritis does not slow him down. Hardy & wanting to work, he would excel in Gymkhana, poles, barrels, hunters, or advanced lessons for children. No spook, he is very attentive and eager to learn & I have had a lot of beginner riders on him. Forms deep bonds with his caring person or people. Calm on the ground, responsive under saddle, and still loves a playful challenge. A sweet, people-loving partner, perfect for young riders—and even recommended for therapy programs. A children’s program with only very light riders are recommended or allowed for this guy. He’s a little but more forward moving-built to be a runner but has been used in a lesson program with children and very light riders. He can also be very relaxed under saddle & on the ground. He will pick up when lightly asked as he is a very sensitive and sweet horse who listens extremely well. Has been used in bit-less set up, has liberty training background, dressage, neck reins, both English and western riding.
