What other horse can do professional photoshoots one day then check cows on pasture the next? From the show ring to ranch, Toro is about as all around as you can get!
2012 double registered Kiger gelding. He has extensive training and has sired some wonderful foals in his younger years before becoming a gelding.
Training - Toro has been shown successfully in western dressage and used extensively on the ranch to work cattle. He has been to clinics, trail rides and professional photoshoots, he rides through rivers, with parachute dresses, ropes calves, does La Garrocha, trail obstacles, nice stop, side pass, 3 very comfortable gates, smooth transitions & Spanish Walk. He is the same horse whether he has 2 days off or 2 months off.
He stands a solid 14.3h with a much bigger presence. Excellent feet, strong bone & easy keeper. He trailers, is great with farrier, vet and easy to handle. He is good minded, quiet and has more whoa than go but is not dead to the leg.
Breeding - Toro has sired some lovely fillies in Canada and has a daughter in Sweden. His foals are quiet and easy going like him. His oldest daughter is excelling under saddle and her trainer says she is great to work with. He received the “prime” distinction from the Kiger Horse Association & Registry for being an exceptional example of the breed standard.
He is available to an approved home because he is not getting the attention we feel he deserves as we have too many other horses to work and a second breeding stallion. Transport can be arranged anywhere in the world.
