Rambler is a gorgeous buckskin gelding that has proven himself to be tried and true, dependable, trustworthy and so much fun! He has a great conformation and is built beautifully. Rambler has been the best horse for us- from trail riding in every type of terrain you could imagine, to horse shows on the weekend, to everyday work checking cows and fences. With his amazing looks, gait, and the sweetest personality, Rambler is the kind of horse that everyone looks for! Rambler’s gait is super smooth and all natural. He's comfortable running walk but will also pick up and rack and look great doing it! On the trail, Rambler is amazing! Our entire family has ridden him everywhere you can imagine around home, and we also took him with us on a two-week long trip to ride in the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness in Colorado and Wyoming. These trails were the most treacherous, yet most beautiful riding we have ever ridden! The terrain was steep and rocky and very technical at times. We climbed elevations reaching over 12,000 feet. In places, we had to ride through miles of downed timber, which made the horses slow and cautious. We rode past waterfalls, over narrow wooden bridges, navigated through boulders and had close encounters with antelope, bear and moose. Rambler handled it all excellently! He even spent most of that time being picket-lined. He faced each new challenge with confidence and obedience and safely packed us up and down the mountain each trip! Around the farm, Rambler has done all sorts of jobs. He has pushed and sorted cows, checked fences, and moved gates as well. He is up for whatever task you present and does his job well. He has been exposed to all sorts of wildlife as well. Besides the antelope, bear and moose that he seen in Colorado and Wyoming, he has seen plenty of deer, turkey and squirrels. He is also used to the barn goats that run in and out of the stall with him along with the cats and dogs. Rambler is super easy to catch and gets along well with other horses. He is super friendly to people, animals and other horses. He is also used to the tarp, whip, and gun, as you can see in the video, and many other types of everyday commotion that happens around the farm! Rambler has been ridden to and through town many times. Whether it’s a trip to go get lunch or to the farm store, Rambler knows his way around. He is completely traffic-safe and has been ridden alongside highways with heavy traffic. As you can see in the video, we have also shown him at local fun shows! He is so much fun to show and always does a great job! With his color, good manners and gait, he has packed home many ribbons! Not much ever phases him.
