Onyx is a stunning, stout and athletic six year old Friesian/Morgan gelding. He is well started both English and western, and also has done quite a bit of pleasure driving. Three quality gaits with a trot that is easy to sit. Onyx is gentle, willing, kind and has an "in your pocket" personality. Anyone can handle him around the barn. He loves attention, will search your pockets for treats, and loves to stand tied to be groomed and loved on.

Onyx is well loved, has no blemishes, easy keeper and can go barefoot if desired. Stalls well and turns out with his gelding friends easily. No vices. He is sound, and will pass a PPE, which is welcome at buyers expense. He loads well, clips, straight ties, cross ties, ground ties, and is excellent for the vet and farrier. He is UTD on coggins, deworming and spring vaccines and is an easy keeper off just hay!

Onyx is a lovely young horse but is still green so needs a rider that can finish him, or would be an excellent prospect for lower level rider to develop under the supervision of a trainer. He crosses bridges, tows tarps, walks under obstacles, goes through water, has been exposed to gunfire, and has a good solid foundation. He is now learning about bending, softening in the bridle, and moving off the leg. Onyx is quiet, willing and eager to learn under saddle. He has an excellent "whoa", knows dressage basics, and is happy to work. In western, he has an established neck rein, rides confidently in spurs, and would be an excellent horse for western dressage.

Onyx has also been ridden out and is brave, and would be a great event prospect! He cute and confident learning how to jump, and there are no fillers that have even made him look. He is a more of a push ride, even learning how to jump.

He is an amazing young horse that can go any direction. He has no buck, bolt or rear and tries hard to please his rider.
