Clementine is a 14-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse mare and an absolute sweetheart. She is super friendly, easy to catch, an easy keeper, and gets along great with other horses. She trailer loads perfectly, is dog safe, doesn’t spook easy, and will go through anything you point her at. She is a really solid trail horse and has been ridden by beginners, but here’s the important catch: she is very forward. She will walk with encouragement, but her natural preference is to move out in a smooth gait, and she can also canter easily. She is not hot, crazy, or hard to handle, but she is a horse that likes to get down the trail and cover ground. Because of that, I think she is best suited for someone who enjoys putting on serious trail miles and wants a comfortable, forward-thinking ride all day long. If forward horses make you nervous, she is probably not the one for you. But if you want a horse that is handy, willing, and truly enjoys the trail, Clementine is a dream. She turns nicely, and does not require lunging before you ride, though you could if you wanted to. She does not buck, bolt, kick, bite, rear, or have any nonsense behavior. She may paw a little while tied, but nothing major. She camps overnight well, does not pull back, and is perfect for the vet and farrier. She is naturally gaited and does not trot, she stays in a smooth gait without any special cues or riding technique. This makes her a great option for an experienced horse person who is new to gaited horses, because you don’t have to know how to “manage” a gait, she will maintain it on her own no matter what. She is very easy to ride in that sense and offers a consistently comfortable, smooth ride. Clementine is truly a serious trail rider’s dream. Up to date on teeth, feet, shots, and Coggins. $4,000 OBO Located in New Boston, MI Contact Jayden for additional pictures, videos, and inquiries. (517) 294-8882
