Vixie is still learning how arena riding works after only ever being ridden in open fields before coming to us, but she’s quiet, sweet, and the closest thing to bombproof we’ve ever seen. We have yet to find anything that spooks this girl (although she’s still a little confused by the mounting block; she was definitely mounted from the ground previously). We don’t recommend that any beginner ride without their instructor present, but other than that our only hesitation about letting a beginner lease her would be that we don’t want someone teaching her bad habits while she’s still learning how arena riding works! Absolutely the horse you can give your child or significant other pony rides on with zero worries! As a bonus, she feels like a couch to ride bareback. Currently Vixie is half leased by a teenager who is working on teaching her dressage, and we hoped to use her for beginner lessons the other half of the week but at the moment she is under-utilized in our lesson program and all of her lessons could be easily moved to other horses to make her available for a second half lease.
