Skip A Gun has been ranched on extensively and has seen a full day’s work. He’s the type that shows up with a good attitude every ride and genuinely wants to please. He continues to improve each time I swing a leg over. We recently took him to a Ranch Versatility show, where he consistently placed in the Top 5 in a large Green Horse division. He handled the crazy wind, atmosphere, and pressure without a single spook or bobble—just stayed honest and tried every step of the way. Was it perfect no but I was thrilled! We also spent time in a clinic setting recently and made great progress: • Improved his turnaround • Started refining his vertical headset • Confirmed how soft and responsive he is laterally He’s already very soft and broke, just needs time and consistency to bring everything together at a higher level. What he excels in: • Ranch riding / ranch versatility • Trail obstacles & challenges • Willing, “try anything” mindset • Brave and dependable—he’ll go through, over, or into whatever you point him at The details: • Sound with a cosmetic blemish (does not affect performance) • Shod • Teeth recently done • Up to date on everything • Has buttons and is a fun, responsive ride This is one I’m genuinely fond of and not in a hurry to move—but if I’m going to keep this program going, I have to offer a few like him up.
