Olive – approximately-8-year-old chestnut mare (originally a rescue from Texas her age is between 6-9) (breed unknown/grade), approximately 16 hands, located near Millstadt, Illinois.
This sweet and loving girl is looking for her forever home as her owner heads off to college. Olive has a wonderful personality — she adores attention, loves being petted and brushed, and forms strong bonds with her people. She’s affectionate and enjoys human company.
Under saddle, Olive is an athletic jumper who has cleared 3’6” with room to go higher. She’s forward and scopey, making her a fun ride for someone who enjoys jumping. Her gaits have a slight natural smoothness (almost gaited-like), giving her a comfortable, easy-to-ride feel that’s great for longer sessions.
She can get excited at times, so she would suit an intermediate or confident rider who can channel her energy positively. Olive has been ridden in a professional indoor arena and shows nice movement.
She’s a people-pleaser at heart and would thrive with consistent work and a caring owner. Great potential for hunters, jumpers, or an active all-around home.
