Sailor is a Haflinger Quarter horse cross gelding standing at 14.3 hands tall and 4 years old. He has a lot of training and experience already under his cinch for his age. He has been started driving, but we mostly just ride Sailor. He is also trained to lay down for mounting or dismounting. Sailor has a ready to please willing attitude you can’t go wrong with him. He rides great out on the trails and looks good doing it. I just love his coloring he almost looks like a golden palomino with that flaxen mane, tail, and leg feathers. He goes anywhere you point him down the trail with NO hesitations and NO fear. He is a blast out on the trail. He’ll step over any size log and if you want him to he’ll jump them too! He would make a great prospect for a Fox hunting horse or a jumping horse. He goes in any water and not afraid to swim a river for you. Steep banks? No problems he just hops right up them. Picks his way down a steep hill carefully. Wildlife doesn’t phase him and he’s used to a doggy sidekick popping in and out places and running up full speed behind him. He has excellent manners. He does NOT care a bit about where the other horse is. He will leave home alone, rides away from the group, can lead or follow. NO bad habits or vices. He gets along in the herd middle of the pecking order. Easy to catch friendly and willing to please attitude. Smart too he catches on to new things quickly. He will pony other horses doesn’t mind a rope being thrown off of him. He has also been hobbled. Loads in the trailer and hauls great we haul all over to go riding so trailering is not an issue for him. Not spooky and he’s used to traffic doesn’t mind cars whizzing by him. Sailor has also been started in harness and has been hitched double so if someone wants to continue that training with him he already has an idea and been driven a few times. But lately we have just mainly been using him as a trail horse. So we are selling him as a riding horse with some experience driving. He rides right in-between your legs knows his cues well and has had arena work. Neck reins fine. Stands good for picking up his feet. Very smooth canter and a trot that’s easy to post to. He comes up to date on everything Vet Check, Coggins, Shots, Wormings, etc. Just call with any questions or to schedule a time to come see him in person 231six seven zero 710one
