Bandit is a 13 year 14.2 HH Gelding genetically tested Hanoverian x Caspian x Holsteiner. He is very gentle and responsive but he has a lot of go so needs an experienced rider.
He is in your pocket sweet, eager to please, smart, clicker trained, target trained, ties without issue, picks up feet on cue, stands for farrier, and loads/rides in trailer without issue. He has not bucked, kicked, bitten or reared.
He has a one hand neck rein with a good stop and back up. I have not gotten him trained to come to the block but he stands to be mounted, stands after mounting and can be mounted from either side. He works well at liberty even permits saddling at liberty.
He is currently being trick trained and is very fast learner. He has no problem with flags, tarps, streamers, umbrellas and any object that gets introduced as a target at liberty and he accepts similar objects on rides as targets rather than obstacles. He was originally trained as a ranch horse when I bought him 2 years ago and I have been riding him along busy rode ways, in neighborhoods and wooded areas.
He is barefoot now and rides in cavallo boots when needed but had shoes when I bought him. He is currently in a pasture with miniature geldings to which he has grown buddy sour. He is sound, a very easy keeper and up to date on vaccinations and Coggins. I am letting him go due to my own worsening health problems that prevent me from riding.
