Koolio is an exceptional 3-year-old with a kind disposition, excellent natural development, and an outstanding willingness to learn. I have been working with him consistently for the past three months, and he has proven to be one of the quickest and most willing young horses I’ve had in training. He is double registered with APHA (American Paint Horse Association) and AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association), making him a versatile prospect with strong appeal across multiple disciplines. Koolio has very correct conformation and impressive muscle development for his age, giving him a strong foundation to continue progressing in any program. He is built to be athletic while maintaining a balanced, functional frame. He has a naturally quiet, laid-back temperament and has never shown any signs of bucking, rearing, or kicking, making him a very safe and enjoyable horse to work with. Koolio was originally started by a western trainer in Veyo, where he was exposed to cattle and ranch-style work. This early foundation has contributed to his calm, level-headed attitude and confidence in new environments. He has a solid foundation on the lunge line and is trained on voice commands, allowing him to perform smooth, balanced transitions while staying relaxed and soft. Under saddle, he is continuing to develop acceptance of the bit and contact and improves with every ride. He is extremely willing and always tries to understand what is being asked of him. He has also been exposed to: • Trail riding with other horses • Trail obstacles • New environments …and has handled everything with a calm and confident attitude. Koolio is naturally more on the quiet side, making him forgiving and safe. He will continue to benefit from consistent work to build forward energy and strength as he progresses in his training. When he came into training, he had some confusion with leg cues (previously trained in a western program with different pressure meanings), but he has made excellent progress and now understands correct forward aids while maintaining a reliable stop—adding to his overall rideability and safety. Koolio would thrive in a continued training program and has the potential to develop into a fantastic partner for a variety of riders. With his gentle nature and willing mindset, he could be suitable for a beginner working with a trainer or someone looking for a quality young horse to bring along. I absolutely adore this horse—he is kind, honest, and tries his heart out every day. He is ready for someone to continue his journey and give him the consistency and care he deserves.
