Family friendly gelding that is trail-safe and willing to do ring work, lessons etc! “Hero” is a 10 year old 16.1 hand Friesian/Standardbred cross. He’s a very sweet and gentle guy! Would make a great addition to a lesson program as he has a kind, patient temperament.
Hero has a safe and solid walk, trot, canter in the ring and will pop over a jump! He’s hacked out and dabbled a little in cross country just for fun! He is quiet and sensible on the trail, crosses water and is road safe. He rides out alone or with a group. He does not require consistency to be a good boy, he’s very safe, sane and dependable. No nonsense, just saddle up and go! He has good ground manners and is easy to handle. I can bring him in from the field with just a rope around his neck! He stands tied, clips, bathes, loads/unloads, travels well and is easy to tack up and mount. He’s well mannered for the vet, farrier, and dentist. He is up to date on vaccines, coggins, deworming and dental work. Currently shod on the front but could easily transition to barefoot as he has nice, big solid feet!
