Piper was born in captivity when her mom was rescued from the Fallon Feedlot. She looks so much like a half draft horse, her owner did genetic testing and she has a lot Belgian blood in her. That being said, she has very thick bone, fantastic hooves, and a big barrel that takes up a 6’2” man’s leg even though she is only just over 15 hands. Not marish at all. Good with other horses, donkeys, mules, cows and even yaks. Piper has 3 wonderful gaits, her canter being the favorite of all who rides her. She has been ridden by the young and old, from a grandpa pony ride to novice kids to advanced teenagers and adults. Piper is a very brave, smart horse who loves to work. She had a good 6 months off, I climbed on her and she was ready to go to work, remembering all of her past lessons. She goes English, (Dressage, hunt seat and jumping) and Western. She moves off the leg, starting neck reining, side passes, leg yields, turns on the haunches and forehand, backs up, jumps small courses, learning and working on working equitation moves, and chasing roping dummies. She has been ridden indoors and outdoors, on her own and in group settings with a lot of emotions going on with the other horses. She is not spooky at all. She is the only horse I’m not afraid to ride in the indoor arena when the snow falls off the roof! She is for sale because her rider wants to do leisurely strolls on trails and Piper is young and ready for more! We don’t want to hold her back from all the potential she has. https://youtu.be/Iegsdgwch9o
