Reposting with updated age info and because this horse has shown massive training improvement over the last few weeks and resolved a few minor quirks. Listing this wonderful, fun gelding for a client as they are downsizing their herd. https://youtu.be/zloJ7a7sY0Y?si=28FalSiFYySfD7CZ “Medianoche” (formerly “Champ,” shown on a May 2025 PPE that owners are happy to share) is a medium build, dark brown/black, grade gelding standing 14.2. Age is a RANGE BETWEEN 6 AND 9. Explained here: Media was sold as five last year, which I confirmed from screenshots of texts from two previous owners. (We are happy to share these screenshots.) However, we discovered last week that some of his PPE documentation shows a DOB of 1/1/17, which would make him 9 if accurate. Medianoche has a very solid training foundation, and he’s ready to finish in whatever direction you choose. Formally started by an AZ trainer in 2025 (previous riding was just kiddos hopping on and riding around the paddock,) W/T/L video is available and will be updated soon because he has gained a lot of muscle, balance, and responsiveness. He moves off of leg very nicely and is picking up on backing up and side passing. He is smart and quite trainable. He’s sound barefoot and crunches gravel with no issues. NO buck/bolt/rear, NO cribbing/weaving/stable vices. He’s been kept on group turnout for the duration of his current home’s ownership. Loads, stands for farrier, bathes, deworms and vaccinates. UTD on dental, vax, deworming, trims. NO history of colic, laminitis, or medical issues. Keeps nicely on pasture. Medianoche’s ideal home would be with an active trail rider seeking a lovable, smart, trusty gelding as their adventure partner. He has a good work ethic and loves to explore. He has a classic, “goofy gelding” personality and loves physical affection/cuddles! Medianoche is calm around new exposures and very fun on the trails. Crosses water, steps over logs, goes through brush without protest. He moves out with a Goldilocks energy level- not lazy, not hot, just forward and confident. We’ve messed around with tarps, flags, balls, sleds, mailboxes, you name it, and he’s done great with all of it. Handles traffic and barking dogs like a breeze. He listens for verbal cues and has a “whoa” you can really trust. He also responds extremely well to positive reinforcement training, and could excel at liberty. Media’s current strength is in his attitude around new things and on the trails, but if the goal is to create a finished arena horse, he would thrive best under an experienced rider who provides solid communication with the seat and legs. He appreciates clear cues and is not push-button yet, so he’s not recommended for small children or early beginners at this time. Price reflects owner investment in purchase, 60 days this winter at Twin Willows, and 30 days with me so far. I’m currently keeping him legged up with
