At the 2008 World Young Horse Championships in Verden and the Bundeschampionat Finals in Warendorf, Rassolini finished fourth, at both events. A year later Kathrin Meyer zu Strohen and Rassolini were champions in the 6-year old Bundeschampionat. Rassolini scored a 9 for trot and 8.5 for walk and canter to average 8.5 in total winning the 6 yr old German National Championship. In 2010 he won one of the biggest tournaments, The Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals at the 2010 CDI-W Frankfurt. In 2012, Rassolini made his Intermediaire II debut at Isernhagen. In December 2013, Vantage Equestrian Group, a syndicate of 10 people around investors Ann Romney, Beth Meyer and Amy Ebeling, acquired Rassolini as the successor for Jan Ebeling's 2012 Olympic mount Rafalca and his new 2016 Rio Olympics candidate.
