Dolly is a 15.1 hand Tennessee Walking Horse mare, 15 years old. She was bred and trained by Box Hanging Three Ranch in Wyoming and has been with the same owner ever since. Together, they’ve covered miles of trail across Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Utah, and beyond, with much of her experience coming from the rugged Badlands of Medora, ND. Dolly is a kind, easy mare to be around. She has lived most of her life in a small mixed herd and is currently turned out in a larger group of mares, where she settles comfortably in the middle of the pecking order. She is up to date on hoof care, dental care, vaccinations, and Coggins. Under saddle, Dolly offers a big, ground-covering walk, a smooth, more lateral saddle gait, and a comfortable canter. She has a nice handle, neck reins, and responds well to leg and seat cues. She stands quietly for mounting and dismounting and has been ridden both solo and in groups. She is happy to lead or follow. Dolly is best suited for someone who enjoys camping and trail riding. She also enjoys obstacle work and a good grooming session—she’s a mare that appreciates attention and connection. She is an easy keeper with no known health concerns and does not currently require maintenance.
