Johnny is a 15.2 hand Tennessee Walking Horse gelding, 10 years old. He was bred and trained by Box Hanging Three Ranch in Wyoming and has been with the same owner since. Alongside his sister, Dolly, he has spent the past eight years trail riding and camping across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and beyond, with much of his experience coming from the Badlands of Medora, ND.
Johnny offers a more traditional Tennessee Walking Horse gait, with a naturally smooth flat walk and running walk. He is an enjoyable horse to ride. Johnny has a nice handle, neck reins, and knows leg and seat cues.
On the trail, Johnny will ride out alone but prefers the company of another horse. He is willing and happily takes the lead when asked.
Johnny is a big horse with a kind, people-oriented personality. He enjoys attention and interaction. He does best with a handler who sets clear, consistent boundaries.
Johnny is up to date on hoof care, dental care, vaccinations, and Coggins. He is an easy keeper, with no known health concerns and does not currently require maintenance.
Johnny is best suited for a confident rider and handler who enjoys trail riding and is looking for a smooth-gaited partner that will move out and cover some miles.
