Carefully developed rather than intensively campaigned, Bells has moderate competition mileage with intermittent periods of concentrated training and development. She had time away from the arena 2022–23 to produce one outstanding colt and was a fabulously easy broodmare, so she remains physically and mentally fresh with plenty to offer.
Bells has scored into the low 70s at First Level schooling shows and high 60s at USDF Recognized competitions. She benefits with focus on the basics but is confidently schooling Second Level with supple lateral work, has been introduced to flying changes and is beginning Third Level work.
Her temperament is truly what sets her apart. Bells is incredibly angelic in new places. Unloads somewhere unfamiliar, takes a look around and simply settles. Quiet, confident and very easy to travel with - she's a dream show horse.
She is also pretty forgiving under saddle. Rider mistakes and pressure do not make her hot, fizzy or reactive. She stays emotionally steady, keeps trying and does not hold a grudge.
That makes her particularly appealing for a mature amateur or junior rider working with a trainer who wants a quality horse without sacrificing confidence and enjoyment.
As an ex-eventer, I wish I’d owned her ten years ago. Bella is brave, athletic and careful over fences, loves to jump, is unfazed by fillers and liverpools, has a balanced gallop and very little spook. She could happily continue in dressage or make an exciting eventing or jumper partner.
Super affectionate, bonds with her human, is honest, easy to handle, haul and travel. Sound and in regular work with some routine maintenance appropriate for a 10-year-old sport horse. Baseline radiographs from 2022 PPE are available.
Quality horses are easy to find. Quality horses with this kind of brain are not.
