Jet is a handsome liver chestnut Appaloosa gelding with a playful personality, a soft handle, and a love for getting out and doing things.
He is comfortable at the walk, trot, and canter, picks up his leads, and has a solid foundation including stopping, backing, and moving off leg pressure. He has experience as an all-around horse and has been trained to be very soft and light.
Jet rides out alone or with other horses and enjoys exploring new trails, forest roads, town rides, and open country. He has been exposed to livestock, dogs, children, traffic, motorcycles, bicycles, tractors, water crossings, and a variety of everyday situations. He is naturally curious, confident, and willing to go wherever you point him.
One of Jet’s favorite things is working around cattle. He is comfortable around livestock, enjoys chasing cows, and is always eager to have a job to do. While he has not been roped off of, he has shown a natural interest in cattle and would make a fun partner for someone looking for a horse to enjoy around the ranch, on the trail, or checking fences.
On the ground, Jet is friendly and easy to handle. He catches, loads, bathes, ties, stands quietly for mounting, and will stand tied for extended periods. He has a goofy personality and enjoys interacting with people. His only vice is occasionally chewing on leather if given the opportunity.
Jet is currently being enjoyed as a trail, ranch, and recreational riding horse. He does have a diagnosed fetlock condition that limits his suitability for competitive athletic pursuits. We are happy to discuss his condition and management with serious buyers.
