HUGE REINING POTENTIAL!
Bigs was started at 2 years old with 60 days under Matt Robertson, followed by an additional 120 days with Ashley Bosack Performance Horses, focusing on a solid reining and cutting foundation. I describe him as "fancy green broke." He has never been out of a snaffle, yet neck reins well and is progressing beautifully. He is set up for success in multiple directions including reining, mounted shooting, head/ heel, breakaway, or calf roping - truly a perfect all-around prospect with a very bright future.
Mr. Bigs is deaf, but please don't let that deter you. He is very intelligent and picks up on cues easily.
He stands quietly for bathing, saddling, the farrier, and tying. He walks right up to you when you go to halter him - he genuinely wants a job and loves to work. He has tracked cattle, been on the cutting flag, had a rope swung off him, worked the roping dummy, drug logs, swam in rivers, and handles new situations with confidence.
Mr. Bigs is 100% sound and sane.
But not for beginners or kids. Needs a seasoned rider and some more training to get him to his potential.
He’s currently in training in Rio Verde. Would like to sell him this week so I can focus on starting my colt!
