Looking for a project pony that you’ll probably fall in love with and keep forever?

Coco’s your gal! She’s sweet, she’s sassy, she’s brave, and she’s a real go-getter.

Coco got her first job at age 4, spending 90 days working cattle on a ranch—and boy, was she good at it! Yeehaw! After that, life got a little quieter, and through no fault of her own, Coco went into a bit of a pseudo-retirement. She spent the next couple of years happily playing in a field with her mom and bestie until, at age 6, she was recruited back into the workforce.

For the past year, Coco has been somewhat on the back burner simply due to my lack of time. One of the things I absolutely love about this mare is her ability to pick right back up where she left off. You can let her sit for a month, hop on, and she’s ready to bop around and go to work.

With more consistency over the past month, Coco has really started to refine her skills and become a more polished citizen. She is currently working on finding a balanced canter, leg yields, and jumping around cross-rail courses.

And this girl is BRAVE! She has a wonderful work ethic and the kind of confidence that makes you want to see what she can do next. If she is anything like her mom, I think she could be a serious contender in the jumper ring.

So, what’s Coco’s next career pivot?

I think she could be a fabulous Pony Club or OHSET project for an intermediate teen with a trainer or experienced adult in their program. The jumper ring could easily be her calling, but I could also see her thriving in working equitation. With her versatility, courage, and willingness to try, she has the potential to be a fun little all-around partner.

Coco is the kind of pony that could start as a project and end up being the one you never want to sell. ❤️🐴
