2016 Grade Bay Paint Mare 15.3h I have owned Sailor since Aug 2024, she is easy to fall in love with. No kick, buck, bite or bolt. Smooth walk, trot, lope, has a nice stop. She is fancy broke if you know the buttons to push. Great in the arena, out on the trails. She’s been hauled out to many different play day arena events, trails and to the beach. I rode her til I was 39weeks pregnant, and then once I was home from the hospital from my c section I rode her days later. She is safe, she is laid back, she is good. I’ve thrown multiple kids on her, she takes care of them in and out of the arena. Sailor would prefer a Trail/Play day home. Loves the beach & to explore. A safe mount to get you where your going. Someone who wants to dabble in a little bit of everything without expecting to win big. She’s got speed but doesn’t enjoy barrels. I also think she would be a great cow horse. She’s been rode Western & English. Goes out bare back with a halter in the field. Dabbled in many things. She stands tied, loads right up and backs right out of the trailer, half the time she’ll meet you at the gate but she isn’t hard to catch regardless. Great with her feet, she does require front shoes if you’ll be on gravel more often than not. Sailor currently is fed local grass hay, alfalfa pellets to mix her gutX, probiotics and electrolytes in. She’s the fat off air type so doesn’t require loads of grain but she is free fed hay. Out on pasture 24/7, but does enjoy a stall with a run as well. Good on fencing, never tests it. She is the boss around here but her pasture mates are ponies. Sailor is great with all the chaos that comes with kids, dogs, goats, cows, etc. Exposed to tractors, dirtbikes, 4wheelers, chainsaw, etc. Loves a BBQ, will eat food right off the picnic table. She DOES NOT like bicycles. But you can talk her through it and she’s fine. The ONLY reason I am selling Sailor is I’m at a point in my life where I would like to compete and reach some of my goals but she just wants a more laid back life. It will be hard to see her go but I want to do right by her. Currently she is rode 2-3 times a week. Arena work and trails.
