Misty is one of those horses that is very difficult to put into words because he has been so much more to us than simply “a horse.” He has been part of our family for years, and this decision has honestly been one of the hardest we’ve ever had to make.

He is a stunning black gelding with a wonderful background in dressage and jumping, but what makes him truly special is not just his training or talent; it’s his personality. He is the type of horse that genuinely bonds with his people. He loves attention, loves being around people, and has such a kind, intelligent, and affectionate nature.

He is beautifully trained on the flat, confirmed at 4th level dressage, and has also comfortably schooled and competed around 1.20m jumping. He has a very soft mouth, a comfortable ride, and adapts incredibly well to the individual rider in the saddle. One thing we have always admired about him is that he never tries to intimidate or overpower a rider. Instead, he really seems to work with people and adjust to their confidence and rhythm.

He has been ridden by professionals, amateurs, younger riders, and softer riders alike, and always remains honest and willing. He enjoys hacking and trail rides just as much as arena work and truly thrives when he has a close connection with his rider.

He is also extremely well cared for. He is up to date on everything, has recent PPE records and imaging available, stands beautifully for the farrier, veterinarian, clipping, bathing, loading, etc. He is used to a structured care routine and has always been maintained to a very high standard.

Our priority is truly finding the right home; somewhere he will continue being loved, appreciated, and treated as family the same way he has always been with us. We put in so much care about the kind of homes he ends up in. A wonderful home is an absolute must for our boy.
