“Batman” — Approx. 14/15-year-old roan gelding 📍Located in Auburn Batman is looking for an experienced horseman/trainer searching for a rewarding restart project. After recently getting in contact with one of his previous owners and receiving additional background, we learned Batman was previously being used for trail riding, pushing cattle, side passing, and general ranch/cowboy riding before eventually passing through multiple owners and sales. At some point along the way, the bucking behavior became reinforced and unfortunately that became what he was known for. Because of that, Batman absolutely requires an experienced and confident person capable of giving him the consistency, structure, and time he deserves to help bring him back to his original foundation. According to his previous owner, Batman had experience checking cattle, pushing/moving cows, opening gates, trail riding, and doing general ranch-type tasks prior to his later training history. She described him as a horse that had a good handle and foundation before the bucking behavior became reinforced over time. The current on-site trainer has also worked with Batman on and off over the last couple of years and has gotten him to the point where he could comfortably go out on trails and be ridden out. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and a full workload, he simply has not had the consistent hours put into him that Batman truly needs. He has also been sitting for roughly the last year, so he does need a proper refresh/restart before going back into full work. This is NOT a beginner horse and we are being fully transparent about that. However, based on his previous history, videos we’ve since received, and the horse we’ve personally handled on the ground, we truly believe there is still a very nice horse underneath that needs the right reset. Batman is: • Sound and healthy • Athletic with a solid build • Good on the ground with respectful manners • Easy keeper • Lower on the pecking order • Best once he builds trust and consistency with his person He would likely do best with someone experienced in restarts, ranch horses, cow horses, or horses that simply need their confidence and direction rebuilt. We are in absolutely no rush to place him and will prioritize the right fit over a quick sale. 💰 Asking $3,500 OBO to the right home 🎥 Videos and additional information available upon request.
