Steel’s dam is Smoke N Jet Surprise “Gracie” a NRHA and NRCHA money earning homozygous tobiano mare who’s been a success in the show pen. Her show roster includes Colorado RCHA Futurity Non-Pro Champion, NRCHA Hackamore Classic Non-Pro 3rd place, SRCHA Winter Classic Non Pro Two Rein Champion and Circuit Champion, NRCHA Eastern Derby Limited Open Bridle Circuit Champion, and numerous other titles.

His sire is AQHA legend Playgun (LTE $183K+), who has progeny earnings of 10 million dollars, and his progeny have earned 9,630 AQHA points! Playgun is an all-time leading cutting horse sire since 2003 and the #4 all time leading ranch horse maternal grandsire.

Steel is well started in halter training, and up to date on vaccinations and farrier work. He’s been exposed to kids, bikes, highway traffic, tractors and heavy equipment, dogs, cattle and general ranch chaos.
