JC Name “Where's The Carat" We show her under "Substitute Teacher" We call her "Karen" and she is anything but. If you’ve been around the local TB scene, chances are you already know Karen. She’s a bit of a celebrity — and for good reason. She is: 16.1h OTTB Mare Just turned 15 Karen is the definition of a jack-of-all-trades. A successful racehorse, proven broodmare, and now an incredibly versatile riding horse, there’s honestly not much this mare can’t do. She’s the kind that can go from the dressage ring to the trail to a costume class without blinking an eye. ✔ Dressage ✔ Eventing ✔ Hunters ✔ Jumpers ✔ Trail Riding ✔ Obstacles ✔ Paces & Chases ✔ Working Equitation ✔ Ranch Riding ✔ Wearing absolutely outrageous costumes with out a care She is honest, kind, forgiving, and incredibly trustworthy. The type you can teach lessons on in the morning and take to a show that afternoon. We currently use her for walk/trot lunge lessons, and she will happily pack a beginner down the trail. She rides both English and Western and prefers a bitless bridle. Karen just received the Overall High Point TB at the IEO Dressage Opening Show May 3, 2026. She cleaned up in Western Dressage and placed in the top 15 out of ALL of the competing TBs in the In-Hand Championship at TIP in Aiken, SC in 2025. She just took Reserve in the AA Special Hunters at the MAR Show on May 17, 2026. Already qualified in Western Dressage, Hunters, and Jumpers for this year’s TIP Championships. The truth is Karen collects disciplines the way some horses collect fly masks. She is all class and deserves someone who wants to get out there and genuinely enjoy their horse. She’s much too nice to sit without a job, so we’re looking for her next person. 📍Open to long-term lease to ensure the best fit and her continued well-being. 📍Sale considered to the right home with FRR. Please reach out with any questions or interest — this is a seriously special mare.
