Lucy — 16.3h Mare — 8 Years Old

Lucy is a big-bodied mare with a solid start and enough education to continue in several directions with the right person.

I bred and raised her myself and have owned both her and her dam, so her full history is known. She’s just turning 8 this month and has been in regular work under saddle for several years.

She has experience with (not finished):
Shoulder-in
Leg yield
Counter canter
Simple changes
Natural lead changes
Trail riding
Clinics

She’s also been popped over fences and seems to enjoy it, though I don’t currently have a jumping video.

Lucy has been ridden by teens, amateurs, and professionals. She’s generally straightforward and not particularly spooky. She can have occasional Thoroughbred moments, and overall, she tends to be pretty uncomplicated.

As a youngster, she had an issue that required surgery and a 6 week rehab period. She has been sound her entire life and in regular work since we started her under saddle. I’m happy to discuss her history openly with serious buyers - tire kickers need not inquire.

She’s being offered simply because I’m downsizing and she no longer fits my current goals. I’d really like to find someone who clicks with her and wants to continue developing her.

Dressage saddle and bridle may also be available.
