Meet Iris ❤️ I want to start by saying I am not a horse expert by any means. A few years ago, I bred my beautiful Paint mare to a stunning Arabian stallion because I had always dreamed of raising a half-Arabian colt or filly of my own. The result was this absolutely gorgeous girl. Making this post is honestly heartbreaking for me. After going through pretty serious back surgery, I have realized I can no longer give her the time and future she truly deserves. Iris is now 5 years old and needs someone who can continue with her, start her under saddle, love her, and enjoy riding her. She is far too special to spend her life as just a pasture ornament. She is halter broke, leads well, and is very willing and sweet natured. She is not wild at all, just unstarted. She has never had a saddle on and would need to be started from the ground up. When she was younger, I kept up with hoof trims regularly, but finding a farrier willing to come out for only one horse became difficult in our area. She has been raised around goats and honestly thinks she is one herself half the time. She has such a fun and loving personality and is truly just the best girl. On top of all that, she is absolutely stunning to look at. This is not an easy decision for me, so I am looking for the right home for her. Someone who will appreciate what a special mare she is and give her the life she deserves.
