He’s a dark dapple grey with the kind of presence that makes people stop and look twice. He’s been ridden from the ocean to the mountains and has seen enough miles to know his job. He’s been hunted off of, used to check cattle, and is traffic safe. Bicycles on the trail don’t bother him, and he’s a seasoned outside horse that knows how to handle himself. He’s easy to deal with day to day, ties quietly, stands for grooming and the farrier, and loads and unloads without any trouble. Traveling doesn’t faze him, and he settles in wherever you take him. Whether you ride out alone or with a group, Ruger is steady and confident. He’s been our go-to for everything from easy afternoon rides to longer trips and camping. He handles wildlife, dogs, water, bullwhips, traffic, and equipment without making a fuss. He neck reins, with drag anything you tie to the saddle horn, carries the flag, and will side pass over to the mounting block, making it easy to get on wherever you are. His gait stays smooth and easy all day long and has a nice canter. He can even be ridden bridleless, which speaks volumes about his training, mindset, and connection with his rider.
