W2 Horses is proud to offer Jerry Lee, who has completely captured our hearts over the last two years. He’s a six-year-old Missouri Fox Trotter gelding standing a sturdy 13.3 hands, coming from true registered Missouri Fox Trotter bloodlines. He has excellent conformation with big bones and a stocky build! We purchased Jerry Lee from his breeder and have had him in our program ever since. From the moment he arrived, he’s been an absolute pleasure! He is as gentle and friendly as they come, with a sweetness that shines through in everything he does. This guy has been ridden by children of all ages as well as small adults, and he’s handled everything beautifully. We’ve taken him trail riding in Tennessee, Illinois, Alabama, and Texas. Just recently, he carried our nine-year-old niece for days on end through the Shawnee National Forest. He kept up with the big horses with no problem, proving himself a trusty mount and a perfect gentleman. He happily went wherever she pointed him, building wonderful memories along the way. He travels well, settles into new places easily, and is always ready to do what you ask. He’s incredibly sure-footed and confident in rocky, steep terrain. He crosses logs and water with no problem, goes up and down steep ditches and hills, and handles it all like a pro. Built nice and stout, he carries even smaller adults comfortably all day long. His ground-covering trail walk is excellent, and his incredibly smooth gait is just lovely! He has a nice handle like a big horse, lopes both leads, neck reins great, side passes, and can even be ridden bareback. Jerry has been used to work cows and around sale barns, and he’s helped gather cattle too. He’s great with traffic, bicycles, and dogs. He is even unfazed by the loud popping of the bullwhip. He stands perfectly still to be mounted from the ground and will side pass right up to the mounting block to make it easier to get on. On the ground, he’s just as wonderful. Jerry is easy to catch, loves attention, and is excellent for grooming, tacking up, picking feet, and the farrier. He’s been in our program for the past two years and has excelled at everything we’ve asked of him. Everyone who rides him always has a big smile on their face. He’s a sweet, honest horse with a great personality and a solid mind. He is a safe, fun, all-around gelding that both kids and smaller adults can truly enjoy, ready for the next adventure! He is the best!
