Gelding, grade, quarter horse, 15 yrs old. This is guy is big, stout, and not afraid to work. He's also the first one to the gate to greet you for pets. Stands tied patiently. Loves to be loved on - brushed, mane & tail braided, just lay on him bareback and relax :) Very puppy dog type personality. Incredibly gentle with children. Been exposed to farm equipment, dogs, screaming/running kids, none of it phases him. Very been-there done-that attitude. He was previously used for big game hunting and packing out in the mountains of Montana. I have been using him primarily for casual trail riding. He's definitely had ranch work somewhere in his past as he gets very perky around cattle. When he gets really excited he does some fancy side-stepping and I've thrown a rope off him just for fun. Selling him because he wants to work and I don't have a job for him. He's too young and too good of a horse to just be ridden on the weekends as casually as I do. I feel he would make some ranch kid or 4Her an amazing partner. More whoa than go, naturally laid-back personality but has the drive and ability if you ask more of him. Stands great for the farrier, lifts his feet like a champ. Is barefoot, has been since before I bought him. He does have a small scar on his right eye but does not affect him. 100% sound and no special maintenance. UTD on shots/worming/teeth float/hoof trims. His only minor vice is he can be slightly buddy-sour. He will ride out on his own and does just fine once away from the group but does take a stronger hand to get him going on a solo ride. May not be for very beginners bc of this but anyone with more than a little experience won't have any issues with him. He is also very tall which can be a bit intimidating. But he's as gentle as a teddy bear. Never a buck, bite, kick or rear. Respects electric fence and hobbles. Have ridden double with my kids and also bareback solo, does great with it all.
