I have a beautiful 11/12 year old blue roan mare. She stands at 16.1 and is built like a tank. Meet Wendy Lady. I purchased Wendy when she was about 9 years old. She was unbroke with a baby on her side. I let her be a horse for a year and then sent her to training for 2 months. While in training, although to my knowledge she had never been ridden, she offered no rear, buck, or bolt. She is definitely a more “whoa” than “go” type of gal. Since being broke out she has been ridden by myself, and advanced beginner pre-teens and teenagers. As well as some very advanced adults. She is sweet enough for my 9 year old daughter to handle, but big enough to be able to carry a good sized adult. She has a gorgeous flowy trot. Her canter needs a lot of work. Shes a big girl and it’s hard for her to support herself- she needs a lot of support and a person who knows that they are doing at the canter. She is sweet and calm on trails, and not spooky in new places. She responds well to leg. No need for a crop or spurs. She is sensitive and listens well. She’s a girl who aims to please. She does have 2 scars. Both happened before I purchased her. One on her hind right cannon bone, and one on her right side behind where the girth goes. Both do not seem to bother her. Wendy is the sweetest mare I have ever owned and this hurts my heart to sell. She is truly a blessing, and she needs to go to a good home. Stands for farrier ✅ Loads and unloads on the trailer ✅ No vices ✅ No maintenance besides front shoes ✅ Middle of the pecking order in a herd ✅ Enjoys cookies, carrots and snuggles ✅ Videos are available upon request.
