(If we eventually sell, Lessee would get first option):WE WOULD LIKE TO OFFER OPHELIA FOR CARE LEASE AND PERHAPS LATER WE WOULD SELL - we would like to have a partnership where Ophelia comes home a few months a year to the mountains when it is too hot elsewhere, and then return to the same partner. (Lease fee is only to cover her medical insurance, 75/mo). Project for a patient and loving home who wants to connect to their horse and riding is not the most important aspect.
Ophelia is a stunning purebred Friesian and came to me as an unstarted broodmare last year, but she had been under saddle in the ring twice a week for 6 months until May. She loves groundwork, loves to play, and needs a variety of experiences to help her grow. She is very subservient but bold and stoic. Ophelia is very easy to work with, ready to learn, a really good project for anyone who has time to bond and spend with her. She is really wanting that connection. She is affectionate and wiling. She got a very late start, but since Friesians mature late she has actually just stopped growing this past year...She has all the qualities of an athlete or halter showhorse if someone wants to go that direction. She does enjoy walking trails on leadline, she likes nature and is curious. Her experiences are limited and would benefit from getting a lot more exposure to life in general but she does perfer to ride in the ring. She is a VERY smart and sensitive girl, where the riding needs to be built upon a solid partnership. I am only trying to see if the right person is out there for her because i am taking care of my mother full time who has alzheimers and also I am only allowed 2 horses by my poa, and my daughter wants to ride with me when i can-- Ophelia needs more groundwork and partner work before she can ride trails successfully. Ring work she is started on, but i do not have a ring (she worked 6 months with a trainer in Alabama twice a week). Please call if you would like more info: I am open to ideas.
