OA/Quarter type Pony Mare - Registered International Quarter Pony "Laced to Impress" 9yo Lacie is a beautiful, athletic pony with an exceptional way of moving and a presence that consistently gets noticed in the show pen. She regularly receives compliments from judges, trainers, and fellow exhibitors for her movement, expression, and overall quality. She has been extensively shown by an 8 year old in walk trot classes. She has numerous placings and tons of ribbons and year end awards in small fry showmanship, hunter under saddle, Hunter equitation, and halter. Lacie has successfully competed at both local and larger youth shows including the All American Youth Show where she landed numerous top 5's. Lacie has also been extensively trail ridden by her 8 year old rider and adults. She goes up over and through anything and is not looky or spooky. Camping, tie outs, etc. No issues. New environments do not bother her. She hauls well, settles in easily at shows, and is the same pony whether at home or away. She has been exposed to a variety of situations. Nothing seems to phase her. Children have done tricks on her back, and she is comfortable around the typical commotion that comes with horse shows and family activities. Lacie is extremely talented and has more ability than we have fully tapped into. In the hands of a capable rider, she has shown she can perform far beyond the basics and we believe we look amazing in the ranch pen or even tapping into reining. We have videos available demonstrating her athleticism and responsiveness under a more advanced rider. That said, Lacie is not a push-button beginner pony. She can be lazy, opinionated, and will test her rider if given the opportunity. She performs best with a confident, intermediate or advanced youth rider who can keep her engaged and ride her consistently. We feel she has significant untapped potential for the right rider and program. She spent 60 days in professional training this spring. Adults and advanced youth can lope her off without a problem, her canter is too much for my timid daughter. And we are ready for her to advance. That is the main reason for selling. Our daughter has learned so much from this pony and loves her dearly, making this an incredibly difficult decision. However, we believe Lacie would thrive with a rider who can take advantage of her talent and help her reach her full potential. These quality ponies are hard to find. Lacie is sound, requires no maintenance, has no known health concerns, and is current on routine care. She wears front shoes due to occasional sensitivity on stoney ground. This is NOT a fire sale, and we are in absolutely no hurry to move her. Lacie is the type of pony that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. She has the looks, movement, mind, experience, and versatility that many families spend years searching for. Text me at 419-681-3044 for more pictures and videos.
