This gelding was bred in Texas A & M's breeding program and came out of their colt starting program. He has Peppy San Badger, Topsail Cody and Nu Bar on his papers. He wears the A&M brand on his left hip and has a big, sturdy build with a thick chest and round hip. He spent his 2-5yo years as a working ranch horse in south east Texas. He has seen long days and knows what wet saddle pads are. He came to California in his 5yo year and became the main mount for a 79yo gentleman. When tuned up, he rides nicely one handed in rommels, collects, moves through all the gaits and transitions smoothly, can turn around, side pass and loves to hunt a stop. He is naturally level headed has navigated most of the obstacles you'll see in a ranch riding pattern (bridge, ground poles, & gates). He is a good trail horse, even on our urban trails (pickle ball courts, playgrounds, traffic, bikes, etc). He has primarily been ridden in groups and has no issue with water, hills, etc. Lately he has been packing an English saddle and starting to learn small cross rails. He has nice ground manners and has no stall vices (no cribbing, kicking, chewing). He is up to date on vaccines, dental and shoeing (normal shoes, no corrective shoeing). He has no history of injections or injury beyond one cosmetic scar from his ranching days. I think he would excel with someone who wants to primarily trail ride but likes one to ride around nice in the arena when asked. To set up a showing, please call/text Cherilyn at 949-400-5591
